Admission rules


Tallinna Kopli Vocational School Admission Rules


Admission of new students takes place in accordance with § 25 page 1-8 of the Vocational Education Institutions Act and on the basis of the number of places in the state training order provided by the Ministry of Education and Research (MER). The number of training places in the state training order is determined by the directive of the Minister.

  1. The admissions committee is approved by a directive of the school principal for each academic year.
  2. People without and with basic education and secondary education are admitted to study.
  3. All citizens of the Republic of Estonia and persons living in Estonia on the basis of a residence permit or right of residence have the right to submit an application for admission to school.
  4. The student candidate must submit to the admissions committee:
    - Application form (to be filled in on site or electronically)
    - Educational certificate (a copy of the original can be made on site)
    - A passport or ID card original (a copy of the original can made on site)
    - 1 photo 3x4cm
    - Parental consent for candidates under the age of 18 (corresponding form)
    - A permanent or valid temporary residence permit or right of residence for a foreign citizen residing in Estonia (a copy of the original can made on site)
  5. The applications of student candidates are registered in the admission register of applications on the day of submission.
  6. Student candidates for Construction; Energy and Automation; Gardening; Tourism, Catering and Accommodation programmes are interviewed upon entering the school.
  7. Candidates for Design and Craft pass a professional test and an interview.
  8. The decisions of the committee are recorded and communicated to the student candidates.
  9. Admitted students shall be included in the list of students of the school by the directive of the principal for the new academic year.
  10. Additional admission will take place if there are available training places.
  11. A candidate for additional admission shall submit documents for admission to the school in accordance with clause 1.4.
  12. The decision of the additional admissions committee shall be notified to the student candidate within five working days.
